Nurturing our middle school students to thrive and learn

Our middle schooling philosophy for years 7,8 & 9 is designed to meet the changing needs of young people, nurturing their academic, social and well-being development. Our core values of Respect, Equality, Pride, Integrity and Resilience underpin everything we do. Every student in middle school belongs to a Grove supported by Grove teachers who have been selected as specialists in both curriculum and middle schooling philosophies.

Our approach ensures learning and wellbeing is supported and monitored by teachers, support staff, Learning Area and Sub-school Leader teams, headed up by an Assistant Principal of Middle Years.

Middle Years students are given a 'voice' within the school community through a Middle Years Forum, that allows them to contribute to whole-school decision-making.

Students in Year 7 and 8 are situated in the newly established Middle School Building and their dedicated Grove classroom is where they spend the majority of their lessons.

Year 7 students are supported by year 10 & 11 Peer Support leaders to transition into high school.
