We focus on empowering our First Nations students to be proud, thriving learners who a have a strong sense of belonging. Our students have access to:
A dedicated support team:

- ASETO - Lochie Buckskin
- South Australian Aboriginal Secondary Training Academy (SAASTA) staff
Additional supports:
- The Mirnu Wirra Room within the school for connection and support
- First Nations students attend Grove time together once a week
- Access to tutors and homework clubs
- Family barbeques to meet and connect with school staff and other families
Opportunities exist for:
- Kids on Country - Aboriginal cultural camp.
- SAASTA culturally safe and responsive education programs.
- STEM Aboriginal Student Congress.
- Nunga Tag Carnival – touch tag rugby and culture carnival.
- Involvement with local community leaders in various projects relating to culture, work, art, etc.
- Cultural participation through - NAIDOC, Reconciliation week and Harmony Day activities
- Other school leadership and clubs.
- Vocational Education Training Opportunities (VET) and School Based Apprenticeships.
Enrolment
Students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander can apply to attend the SA Government high school of their choice via the Enter for Success Program.
Acknowledgement of Country
Golden Grove High School acknowledges the Kaurna people who are the traditional owners of the land we learn on. We pay our respects to their spiritual relationship with Country and acknowledge that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to those living today.
We pay our respects to Kaurna Elders, past, present and emerging and we acknowledge the cultural authority of Aboriginal people visiting from areas around Australia.
