A holistic program building life skills for the future

Our I.D. (Individual Development) Program equips students with both dynamic skills and dispositions for their future.

Our program is delivered to all students by Grove Teachers in a 40 min lesson per week.

Teachers are supported by student leaders and Year 10/11 Peer Leaders to provide support to the Year 7 and 8 Groves.

The curriculum has been designed based on the feedback from staff, school leaders and students and centers around the strands of Wellbeing, Futures, Identity and Citizenship. These strands flow vertically throughout the year levels to develop and strengthen students’ skills from one year to the next.

Our I.D. Program has been designed to be accessible to all learners.

Our Grove teachers are supported in this program by specialist teams who continue to review the content of the curriculum for the coming years. The I.D. Program is aligned with the SACE/Australian Curriculum, general capabilities and our school values to ensure that students are building skills and understanding within each strand. Student learning is assessed by their participation and development and included as part of their Grove report.

Acknowledgement of Country

Golden Grove High School acknowledges the Kaurna people who are the traditional owners of the land we learn on. We pay our respects to their spiritual relationship with Country and acknowledge that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to those living today.

We pay our respects to Kaurna Elders, past, present and emerging and we acknowledge the cultural authority of Aboriginal people visiting from areas around Australia.
